Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.24%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which rose 7.16% or 120.00 points to trade at 1,795.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) added 3.64% or 155.00 points to end at 4,410.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) was up 2.70% or 300.00 points to 11,400.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV), which fell 2.13% or 320.00 points to trade at 14,680.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) declined 0.58% or 120.00 points to end at 20,480.00 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) was down 0.51% or 50.00 points to 9,850.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.13% or 6.95 to $319.90 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.86% or 430.00 to hit $11,567.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 18.64 to trade at $2,650.36 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.69% to 4,353.90, while BRL/COP fell 1.13% to 704.54.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 108.78.
