Heritage Foundation to Trump: Release Prince Harry immigration docs

(NewsNation) — The Heritage Foundation will be calling on President-elect Donald Trump’s administration to release Prince Harry’s immigration records, Nile Gardiner, director of the think tank’s Margaret Thatcher Center, said on “The Hill” Friday.

“Prince Harry is one of the most public figures in the world,” Gardiner said. “I do hope that the new Trump presidency will release Prince Harry’s immigration records for the American people to see for themselves — what is exactly in those records?”

Since 2020, Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have lived in California. After the couple left their full-time positions in the monarchy, Harry criticized and alleged racism and other mistreatments from the royal family.

How will new Trump administration staff picks reshape the US?

Harry, the son of King Charles III and fifth in line to the British throne, formally confirmed he was a U.S. resident in April.

The Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security to release Harry’s immigration records. They say Harry lied on his visa documents regarding a history of drug use. Harry wrote in his memoir “Spare” that he experimented with cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms. In September, the Heritage Foundation lost that lawsuit, with the Biden administration saying Harry is entitled to his privacy.

Speaking to GB News ahead of the election, Trump said he would ensure “appropriate action” is taken if Harry is found to have lied on his visa documentation about the use of illegal drugs.
