DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Uncle Mike’s Bake Shop in De Pere, Wisconsin, stirred up excitement by baking specialty cookies that doubled as a fun kind of ballot, inviting customers to cast their “votes” in an unofficial poll for the 2024 presidential election.

This year, the bakery crafted cookies with the faces of the presidential nominees, featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

Mary Vandewalle, owner of Uncle Mike’s Bake Shop, shared with NewsNation affiliate WFRV that Trump-themed cookies are currently leading by a wide margin.

These cookies are available to order online and are shipped nationwide, allowing cookie “voters” across the country to join in.

Whether customers are casting their cookie “ballot” for Harris or Trump, they’re indulging in a taste of democracy, one cookie at a time.
