Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Michael Whatley said in a Sunday interview that he is confident in former President Trump’s ability to win the Electoral College vote on Tuesday.

“We certainly have a great shot at winning the national vote, but I think more importantly is that we are going into Election Day with leads in Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Georgia, and we are doing substantially better in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania than we were in either 2016 or in 2020,” Whatley said in an interview on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday” with Chris Stirewalt.

“So we are in a great position to win this thing on Election Day,” he continued.

The latest polling ahead of Election Day shows that Trump and Vice President Harris are locked in a close race, including in some of the key battleground states.

In the national polling average from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, Trump leads Harris by 0.2 percentage points, with 48.3 percent support to Harris’s 48.1 percent.

The polling averages in Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Georgia show Trump leading Harris by approximately 1 to 3 points. Trump leads Harris by an average of less than 1 point in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, and Michigan has Harris leading by an average of 0.2 points.

“We are very bullish,” Whatley continued in his interview. “And Donald Trump is right now barnstorming across every one of these battleground states and talking directly with the American voters about the issues that they care about, and that’s what’s going to get him across the finish line.”
